Welkom in Amsterdam
It is a famous quote from John Green: “Some tourists think Amsterdam is a city of sin, but in truth it is a city of freedom. And in freedom, most people find sin.”
That is what I thought before I moved to Amsterdam. I am writing this post from a cute coffee place ( not a coffee shop ) and thinking about how my opinions about Amsterdam changed in the last two months.
When you come there as a tourist, you usually visit Red Light District, Canals, Dam Square and Coffee shops. However, when you live like a local, you can see that Amsterdam is more than that. The lifestyle is very chill for a capital, people take their time and enjoy life. Half of the population of the city consists of expats and yet, there is still a deep Dutch culture reflection in every place you go.
And the BESTSELLER office.. It is amazingly located, just next to one of the canals, in the heart of the city. So I can say to the future IBTs who is going to apply to E-Commerce and to be stationed in Amsterdam Central E-Commerce office, you will love it here. After spending one year and learning Brand Management in Denmark, coming to Amsterdam and start working for a more commercial part of online shopping is definitely an experience.
Until the next time, take care and good luck with the applications this year!
